- much conservation agriculture - focus on soils - many existing projects, eg o water and watersheds, missing - work on tradeoffs is there - water harvesting projects here

SYSTEMS PROJECTS

??? projects

- strong connection with NRM projects; blurring of boundaries - dissemination of technologies, improved varieties, improved production systems - tend not to be very specific; paper too small to describe them - lot of conservation agriculture

CROPS PROJECTS

- much breeding against stress, drought - seed systems and seed delivery - many are regional in scope - dominance of legumes and maize

LIVESTOCK PROJECTS

- many fewer projects compared to crops - separating crops from livestock not helpful; many should be in a systems grouping (aspirational) - fish largely missing

OTHER PROJECTS
