Objectives[edit | edit source]
- Share a methodological approach for demand-driven R4D within the context of the AfricaRISING.
- Identify and discuss major issues of the approach with a larger R&D community.
- Find ways forward to tackle these issues based on the knowledge and experiences of this larger community.

- (20 min) Presentation [Jerry] about the Africa RISING workshop + buzzing with 2-3 people to come up with questions;
- (20 min) Presentation [Ken] on systems approaches + buzzing to come up with questions;
- (20 min) Presentation [Ann] on R4D + buzzing to come up with questions
- (15 min) Key questions for clarification (and challenges of operationalization?) - only 1 per buzz group

AM2.1
- (5 min) Brief recap day 1 [Laurens] and introduction day 2 [Ewen]
- (25 min) Green and red cards (in buzz groups) to flag interesting insights and ideas and challenges of questions for Africa RISING.
- (25 min) Have groups champion some topics and come up with a refined plan for each of these topics + roaming group to ensure cross-pollination.
- (35 min) Presentation of plans.
AM2.2
- (120 min) Writeshop - to be fleshed out by Diego. Could be: Take the ideas from day 1 and work further on them in groups, with roaming AfricaRISING group to answer questions and help shape up reflections in a pragmatic way for the program - Develop template.
PM2.1
- (60 min) Presenting Writeshop ideas + clarification questions + feedback Diego / Ann for each - in plenary.
PM2.2
- (15 min) Reflections by Diego and Ann about feedback given and implications + next steps [Diego].
- (15 min) Short spectrogram evaluation of participants about liking the workshop and about believing in applicability.
