13:30 Group exercise: Synergies between themes and common Africa RISING denominators
This group exercise session will be focused on establishing how the mother Africa RISING can benefit the AR-Zambia project and vice-versa. This will be a facilitated group session where the groups will be expected to discuss, document and report to plenary the outcomes of their discussion.

Participants will divide into two primary groups to discuss: (a) how research results from mother AR can supplement Zambia project activities and vice versa (b) How the interventions and experiences from theme 2 benefit the farming communities targeted by theme 3 and vice versa? The third question we had on assessing possible entries for livestock (goats and poultry) integration into next year’s work....will be left for members of '''theme 3''' (this is particularly relevant to them) to ponder on during the revision of draft work plans on day 2. We will specifically ask them to in addition to reporting on their work plan for 2016/2017 also report on this.
Composition of group (a) and (b) mentioned above: Primarily group (b) will consist of members of theme 2 and 3; anybody else will go into the group (a) discussion.
